About Mainstream Engineering and

Background on Mainstream Engineering and its interest in boater safety education:

Given our location on the east coast of Florida, and proximity to the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean, many of our employees are avid recreational boaters. The increase in navigational traffic on Florida waterways and the number of accidents-many of which could have been avoided-has pointed to the need for more boater safety education courses. We have combined the company's interest in boating with our experience in online curriculum development and certification using secure internet sites to the recreational boating arena.

For more than 10 years, Mainstream Engineering has been an industry leader in the training and certification of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians. We are currently on the forefront of self-paced training software for refrigeration technician training and certification for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. We currently remain the only firm certified for administering these EPA certification exams via the Internet and have certified more than 100,000 technicians.
